Queen of Myth

Mariel is the queen of a dying country. For decades she has fought against sorcerous invaders with nothing but a holy spear and her people’s rage, but no more. Reeling from the aftermath of a bloody betrayal, her chance at revenge is stolen from her when she’s thrust half-way across the world and two-thousand years into the future. A man named Dreamer greets her—and informs her she is a myth.

She learns she was summoned to his world to fight against an omnipotent folk hero intent on plunging the city into war, but she wants no part in this. Determined to return to her people, Mariel stumbles across her story: the battle she left would have ended in her death and her country in ruin.

Mariel cannot change the past, but she’s determined not to fail again. She chooses to help Dreamer and fight for the people of this new city. However, Mariel is completely new to this world of skyscrapers and corrupt politicians, and Dreamer is hiding the truth about his relationship with the enemy. To avoid seeing another country in flames, she will have to decide who poses the true threat: the people trying to kill her, or the person who brought her to life.
